The still photographic series was started when my late father began to deteriorate; it grapples with liminality and loss. This series is intended to vaguely resemble snapshot/ documentary images but reveal themselves as fully staged upon closer inspection, positing the (dysfunctional/ dystopian) domestic scene as a self-conscious, self-reflexive site of drama and disjunctured narrative.
These images are taken during and in the aftermath of my father’s long illness. What happens when dominant narratives, personal myths prove to be bankrupt?
